How to Remove the Battery from Your Panda Electric Trike

Removing the battery from your Panda Electric Trike is a straightforward process, but it's crucial to follow the steps correctly to ensure safety and avoid damaging your trike. This tutorial will guide you through each step of the battery removal process. Remember, if you're having any trouble or if something doesn't seem right, please reach out for assistance.

Step 1: Understanding the Battery Key Positions

The first thing you need to know is how your battery key works. It has three distinct positions:

  1. On Position: This is the position used when operating the trike, located all the way to the right.
  2. Off Position: Use this position to turn off the battery. It's found in the middle.
  3. Unlock Position: This is the crucial position for battery removal, located all the way to the left. You might need to apply a slight push on the key to turn it into this position.

Step 2: Turning the Key to the Unlock Position

With an understanding of the key positions, proceed as follows:

  • Insert the key into the battery keyhole.
  • Turn the key all the way to the left, reaching the "Unlock" position. Ensure the key is fully engaged in this position for the battery to be released properly.

Step 3: Removing the Battery

Now that the key is in the correct position:

  • Locate the battery's handle. This is specifically designed for safe battery removal.
  • Grip the handle firmly and pull steadily. The battery may be snug at first, especially if it's new or hasn't been removed frequently. It's normal to apply a bit more force initially, but this will become easier over time.
  • Important: Always use the designated handle for battery removal. Avoid using any other part of the battery to pull it out. Also, refrain from twisting or making jerking motions, as this could harm both the battery and the trike.

I just purchased my panda, got it together, rode it twice. I had an issue of the front fork coming lose. Fixed it now I can get the throttle to work. When I turn off the power on the battery then back on I’ll turn on my screen, full battery and power, touch the throttle to go, I feel juice and a small movement but then it stops, nothing won’t engage. What am I doing wrong???
